A professional dog trainer and a certified specialist in dog-dog aggression and reactivity, Kim Moeller is the San Francisco SPCA's dog-dog socialization and rehabilitation expert. Now a recognized expert in dog reactivity, Kim has spoken internationally on the subject of dog-dog aggression and has earned renown within the industry for her content-rich, hands-on, entertaining seminars. Her long-standing private practice focuses on aggression issues.
Kim co-designed, and currently teaches, the SPCA's famous Growly Dog program. Her skill in reading dog body language and working with reactive dogs is well known and respected among her peers. Kim enthusiastically took on challenging cases and was awarded special certification for dog-dog aggression in 2002 by Jean Donaldson, then head of the SF/SPCA Dog Training Academy.
In addition to dog training, Kim has been actively involved as a professional dog walker in the San Francisco community for over ten years, and she co-teaches dogTEC's Dog Walking Academy. A proponent of regular exercise as a healthy and vital part of a dog's life, and the difficulty many owners have in providing this much-needed activity, Kim started offering to walk the dogs of her friends and clients along with her own dog Mocha. Before she knew it, Kim had a regular pack that she took to popular dog parks in the bay area.
Kim's leadership in the training field is reflected in her commitment to improving quality of life for dogs and building stronger bonds between dogs and their owners. Her expertise in successfully working with dogs of all types reflects her love of animals and her passion for the work she does.
